MENDHAR, July 8: A labourer was injured due to electric shocks in Mendhar tehsil of Poonch district today.
Reports said around 12 noon today, a labourer who was laying BSNL fiber at Sangla Chowk in Mendhar town, climbed on a pole. He was trapped in the 33 KV HT line which was passing over the pole, after which he fell down with severe electric shocks and injuries.
He was rushed to Sub-district Hospital Mendhar. He was identified as Abdul Shakoor (34), son of Mir Mohammad, resident of Markot Mandi. Police has taken cognizance of the matter.
