Unemployed Ayurvedic doctors to start agitation from tomorrow

JAMMU, Sept 16: Expressing serious concern over increasing number of unemployed ISM doctors, the unemployed Ayurvedic BAMS doctors of Jammu region today accused the State Government of having no employment policy for the Ayurvedic ISM doctors.
Addressing a meeting of Unemployed Ayurvedic BAMS Doctors Association Dr Shri Kant and Dr Sahil Pandoh  alleged that Government was not doing any thing for the absorption of the Ayurvedic doctors.
The meeting decided to start agitation from September 18 in support of their demand.
Dr Kant said that the Ayurvedic doctors of Jammu region  are not being absorbed under the AYUSH scheme of the Union Health Ministry. He said the AYUSH and NRHM schemes are proving fruitless and useless for the Ayurvedic doctors as they have not been absorbed under the scheme.
Dr Pandoh warned the Government that Association will intensify the agitation from September 18 and hold a mass protest demonstration on that day out side the Press Club, here.
He appealed all the unemployed Ayurveda BAMS doctors, to unite and convey the massage to all unemployed ayurvedic doctors, to participate in the agitation starting from September 18
Dr Sahil said that there should be separate directorate for the ISM Ayurveda and the ISM Director should be an Ayurvedic Doctor and not a Unani doctor.
Dr Pandoh appealed the Union Health Minister Gulam Nabi Azad and the State Health Minister Shabir Khan to personally look in to the matter.
The other leaders of the Ayuruvedic doctors who addressed the meeting included Dr Amit Gupta, Vishal Sharma. Dr Devinder, Dr Narain, Dr Neena, Dr Vidush, Dr Anjali, Dr Abbha. Dr Sonam, Dr Shvankur, and many others.
