BOPEE paper leakage: HC grants Govt two weeks to file report

SRINAGAR, Sept 16: High Court today granted State Government two weeks to file status report about the enquiry conducted in the leakage and cancellation of common entrance test by Board of Professional Entrance Examination last month.
A Division Bench of the HC comprising Chief Justice M M Kumar and Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur directed the Government through its Advocate General M I Qadri to file report which gives all the details about the enquiry.
The Bench observed the AG has stated the preliminary enquiry is likely to be completed within two weeks after SSP Crime Bashir Ahmad, present personally in the court, instructed the AG.
The Government also submitted to the court the original complaint about the controversial MBBS selection of seven candidates in 2012.
The Bench also reserved its comments on the compliant when amicus curie B A Bashir pointed out during hearing the press cuttings attached with the complaint highlight a number of things which could be verified easily.
“At this stage we do not wish to make any comment from the action of the respondents, including investigation on the ground that it was anonymous,” the Bench observed.
