Doc dies of COVID, 90 test +ve in Jammu

JAMMU, July 9: A doctor died of COVID-19 while 90 others tested positive in Jammu division and 56 new cases were reported in Kashmir.
A 44-year-old doctor hailing from Mondhole in Kulgam district of Kashmir, died in a road accident in Reasi district of Jammu and tested positive for COVID-19 taking virus toll in Reasi district to 49 and Jammu division to 2333.
Among 90 fresh cases in Jammu division, 67 were registered in Jammu district, nine in Udhampur, six Samba, four Poonch, two Kathua and one each in Rajouri and Doda districts.
Jammu and Kashmir now has 754 active positive cases including 470 in Jammu division and 284 in Kashmir.
Jammu district has highest number of 362 active positive cases.
Meanwhile, four more COVID positive cases were today reported in Ladakh UT, all in Leh district.
Leh now has 125 active positive cases while Kargil district is Corona-free.
