SRINAGAR, July 12: Burglars have looted unaccounted cash from a donation box at a Gurduwara in Tral town of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district today.
An official said that the incident occurred at Khasipora Tral during the intervening night of 11 and 12 July at Gurudwara Singh Sabha.
The Gurudwara is under construction and devotees had donated a lot of money that had been kept in the safe and strong donation box, which was looted by the burglars.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner Tral, Shabir Ahmad Raina, visited the area and took stock of the situation. He assured the minority community leaders that efforts would be made nab the burglars.
Pertinently, burglars in Kashmir Valley in the past have targeted the religious shrines mostly belonging to the majority community.
