Governor compliments outgoing Army Bns

SRINAGAR, Sept 17 : N. N. Vohra, Governor, who is Chairman of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, has complimented the Commanding Officers of 4 Bihar and 2 Mahar for their laudable role in managing the Yatra 2013. Both these formations are moving out after the conclusion of their Yatra duties.
The Governor was speaking after presenting mementos to Maj. Gen. R. R. Nimbhorkar, GOC, Hq Victor Force; Col. R. P. Singh, Commanding Officer, 4 Bihar and Lt. Col. Sumer Singh, Officiating Commanding Officer, 2 Mahar regiments of the Army, at Raj Bhavan, here last evening, as a token of appreciation for the valuable support to the smooth conduct of the Yatra.
The Governor observed that in ensuring the successful conduct of this arduous Yatra the Army, Police and the Security Forces have been playing a very significant role not only in providing a secure environment in the entire Yatra area but also in providing physical support to the Yatris to undertake the difficult journey to the Holy Cave.
Lt. Gen. Gurmit Singh, GOC, 15 Corps; Suresh Kumar, Principal Secretary, Home; Navin K. Choudhary, Principal Secretary to the Governor and Chief Executive Officer of the Shrine Board; and Preet Pal Singh, Additional CEO, were present on this occasion.
