PYC’s ‘Youth Jodo, Booth Jodo’ campaign

JAMMU, July 13: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Youth Congress (JKPYC) intensified its significant ‘Youth Jodo Booth Jodo’ campaign at Thathar Bantalab here today.
The campaign was launched under the leadership of Jagdev Gaga, National general secretary Indian Youth Congress. The campaign is aimed to strengthen the Congress Party at the grass root level across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
IYC leader while addressing a gathering stressed upon the Youth Congress workers and activists to motivate the youth at booth level to join the Congress party. He said that Congress played a decisive role in India’s freedom struggle and thereafter during its rule in the country.
He said that today there is a dire need to make the youth aware about the achievements made during the Congress rule and at the same time making them understand how the wrong policies of the BJP Govt at the Centre that have brought endless miseries to them. He said that youth wing is the backbone of Congress party and therefore, PYC workers have to rise to the occasion to reach out to the common people right upto the grass roots level and address their concerns and issues.
Uday Bhanu Chib, PYC president while addressing the gathering castigated the BJP led Government for creating a communal divide across the nation thus throwing national integration to smithereens. He said that BJP seems to be following the ‘Bharat Todo’ policy and therefore, it is duty of every Youth Congress activist to perform a vital role to thwart anti people tirade of BJP by leaving no stone unturned in making ‘Youth Jodo Booth Jodo’ campaign.
He said people are already facing the brunt of the BJP Govt’s mis-governance with sky rocketing prices of essential commodities besides the unprecedented inflation and they want a change of governance at the Centre to heave a sigh of relief. He appealed to the people to teach the BJP a lesson in the next Assembly elections.
Navneet Kour, Indian Youth Congress secretary said that the BJP Govt’s proxy administration in J&K has failed on all fronts which is evidenced by the fact that unemployment is on the rise, target killings have become a common strategy adopted by the terrorists with no chances of peace visible on ground, drugs finding the way easily to youth of this Union Territory.
