JAMMU, July 13: Posted in Kashmir valley, all Jammu based reserved category employees continued their protest demonstration for 43rd consecutive day today at Ambedkar Chowk Park, in Jammu.
The protesting employees were staging slogans in support of their demands and urged the Lt Governor to issue necessary orders as discussed during the meeting with their delegation in Jammu recently regarding their 3-point genuine demands including formation of a comprehensive time bound transfer policy, utilization of services of employees in their respective districts and not to pressurize the Jammu based employees to resume their duties under prevailing situation in Kashmir Valley.
They claimed that situation was not conducive for them in Kashmir in view of killings of minority community members. They referred to the killing of a school teacher from Samba in Kashmir by militants. The protesting employees collectively pledged to work with integrity and sincerity for the progress of Association and remain united till their genuine demands are fulfilled by the Government.
A large gathering of employees along with their siblings were witnessed at the venue. In support of protesting employees, several family members of the employees including their children addressed the gathering and urged the administration to transfer their parents back to their home district as the present situation is not conducive for their parents to survive in Kashmir.
Prominent members of Core Committee of All Jammu Based Reserved Category Employees Association Kashmir thanked the speakers particularly the school children for their continuous support and advised all the employees to keep patience to bear this hardship and maintain the unity to strengthen the ongoing protest program and take this cause to its logical conclusion. They said that their protest will be continued till their issue is resolved by the LG’s administration.
