UDHAMPUR, July 14: A handicapped man, missing since last Sunday, was today found dead in Dudar Nallah in Rehambal area, Udhampur.
Reports said that dead body of Chaman Lal alias Lundi (40), son of Ganga Ram, resident of Hansali Katra, District Reasi, was spotted this morning in Dudar Nallah in Rehambal area, by some locals, who informed the Police.
SHO Rehambal Rajesh Sharma said that a police team reached the spot and shifted the body to mortuary room of Udhampur District Hospital. According to the family members, the deceased was missing since July 10 from a relative’s house at village Pathi in Udhampur. He had left for his home at Hansali Katra but went missing.
In this connection, Police has initiated inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC.
