JAMMU, July 16: Former Minister and senior BJP leader Sham Lal Sharma today inaugurated new premises of a ‘Gaushala’ in Patoli area of Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, Sham Lal Sharma said that for a long time there was a demand for Gaushala in Patoli Brahmana, which was fulfilled today by Shri Raja Mandlik Ji Dev Sthan Development Trust.
“Serving the mother cow is a holy act. A person who does cow service becomes a partner of virtue. Purity of mind, speech, deed and body is possible only by serving cow. The protection of the entire creation is possible only by the protection of Gaumata,” he said.
Uttam Chand Sharma, Head of Shri Raja Mandlik Ji Dev Sthan Development Trust said that cows are a part of our civilization. “None of our religious works can be completed without cow, then how can we separate it from ourselves?,” he added.
Mahant Rohit Shastri, Head of Srikailakh Jyotish and Vedic Sansthan Trust said that according to scriptures, cow is the form of Vishnu, cows are Sarva Vedamayi and Vedas are Gaumayi. “Lord Shri Krishna ji got all the knowledge base from Gocharan,” he added.
Raj Kumar Langar, Head of Gaushala Jammu said that the service of cow is the greatest virtue for human beings. “No one should be deprived of this virtue as 33 categories of deities reside in the cow and these deities are 12 Adityas, 8 Vasus, 11 Rudras and 2 Ashvin Kumars,” he said.
Jammu and Kashmir Brahmin Sabha president Atul Sharma, Pawan Sharma, Rakesh Gandotra, Dev Dutt Sharma, Omi Khajuria, Vicky Khajuria, Vijay Sharma, Sushil Sharma, Manmohan Singh, Deepak Sharma, Kishore Sharma, Vijay Sharma and Mohan Lal Sharma were also present on the occasion.
