JAMMU, Sept 18: Municipal Magistrate Jammu, V S Bhou today rejected the bail application of one Rajinder Singh, son of Karnail Singh of village Sui Kanachak, who was arrested by the police in alleged rape case.
After hearing Senior Prosecuting Officer Rohit Gupta for the State, Municipal Magistrate observed, “the CD file reveals that the petitioner allured prosecutrix for the offence by extracting her consent in good faith and on assurance of marrying her. In the past too he had committed such acts with her which aspect is under investigation”.
“Admission of accused on bail would definitely hamper the investigation and possibility of accused tampering with the evidence cannot be ruled out”, the court said while dismissing the bail application.
