JAMMU, July 17: Jhajjar Kotli and Manwal Police jointly arrested a man for smuggling the bovine animals.
As per police sources, on reliable information a team from Police Station Jhajjar Kotli led by SHO Inspector Vikram Sharma and assisted by Incharge Police Post Manwal SI Ayub Khan laid a naka at Nadal and intercepted one auto load carrier bearing registration number JK14G-4923.
During checking, police team rescued two bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested the driver, who was identified as Ajay Kumar, son of Gian Chand of Khoon Tehsil Majalta District Udhampur.
A case FIR Number 178/2022 under relevant sections has been registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and investigation started.
