JAMMU, July 17: Bus Stand Police arrested a resident of Ganderbal along with contraband.
As per police sources, during patrolling a team from Police Station Bus Stand Jammu intercepted a person near KC crossing, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 160 banned syrup bottles and 100 intoxicant capsules from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Hashim Iqbal, son of Mohammad Iqbal Sofi, a resident of Sallora District Ganderbal.
A case FIR Number 31/2022 under section 8/21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bus Stand Jammu and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment and other persons involved in this illegal trade.
Police team led by SHO Bus Stand Inspector Vishal Shoor made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO City Sharad Kalu and SP City Kulbir Handa.
