Active COVID cases in J&K cross 1000

JAMMU, July 17: COVID cases in Jammu and Kashmir stayed above 200 for second consecutive day today while active cases crossed 1000-mark.
Out of a total of 203 fresh infections, 111 were reported from Jammu division and 92 in Kashmir.
Jammu district accounted for 91 cases, Udhampur 10, Kathua four, Poonch three and Doda, Samba and Reasi districts one each.
Active positive cases in J&K stood at 1044 including 599 in Jammu and 445 in Kashmir.
Meanwhile, the Union Territory of Ladakh reported 14 fresh COVID positive cases today, all in Leh district.
All 68 active cases in Ladakh are in Leh district while Kargil district is Corona-free.
