Taiwan stocks rise, led by TSMC, Hon Hai

TAIPEI, June 11: Taiwan stocks rose 1.72 percent on Monday, lead by Apple supplier Hon Hai Precision And chip maker TSMC which reported encouraging sales figures for May.
The main TAIEX index ended up 120.58 points at 7,120.23.72, boosted by the electronics and automobile Sectors, both rising over 1.9 percent.
Hon Hai and TSMC, the world’s top contact chip maker, jumped 2.57 percent and 3.2 percent, respectively.
