Councillors discuss Bawe Wali Mata pilgrimage development project

JAMMU, July 19: Senior BJP leader and Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Rajinder Sharma of Ward number 16 (New Plot area) along with Independent Councillor, Sham Bassan of Ward number 48 (Bahu Fort area), Management Committee members of Har-Ki-Pouri and prominent citizens of Bahu Fort locality here today discussed the development project of beautifying Bawe Wali Mata shrine and developing its adjoining areas.
Speaking on the occasion Sham Bassan said the project has been presented by Rajinder Sharma to Principal Secretary Housing and Urban Development, Dheeraj Gupta few days back and it will serve as a milestone as far as development of the pilgrimage of Bawe Wali Mata is concerned.
BJP leader, Rajinder Sharma talked about the features of the project which included reconstruction of road from Hari Singh Chowk to its exit point at Sidhra highway.
“The project further included entry and exit gates with modern architecture, parking facilities at railway land, Gorakh Nagar and near Bahu Fort, paintings on vacant walls, telescope deck for Jammu view, Goddess Kali idol installation at ground near Bahu Fort mosque along with sitting arrangements and green spaces with canopies,” Sharma maintained.
He said that the project contains similar developments at Har-Ki-Pouri and expressed determination to make religious tourist circuit involving Bawe Bali Mata, Har-Ki-Pouri, Mahamaya Mata, Peer Kho, Balidaan Satambh and Gondolla.
