Bovines smuggling bid foiled

JAMMU, July 19: Jhajjar Kotli Police foiled bovines smuggling bid.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Jhajjar Kotli led by SHO Inspector Vikram Sharma under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota laid a naka and intercepted an auto load carrier bearing registration number JK14F-8724.
During checking, police team rescued one bovine animal from the vehicle and arrested the driver, who was identified as Jugal Kumar, son of Des Raj of Jindrah Tehsil Dansal District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 179/2022 under sections 188 IPC,11 PCA Act and 50/52/54/56 Transportation of Animals of Rules of 1978 has been registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and investigation started.
