JAMMU, July 19: Miran Sahib Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered heroin from his possession.
As per police sources, on reliable information a team from Police Station Miran Sahib led by SHO Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh and SP Headquarters Ramnish Gupta laid a naka and intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 2.75 grams heroin from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Mohammad Shabir, son of Mohammad Bashir, a resident of Dak Bungalow Maralian District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 76/22 under section 8/21/22/60 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and investigation started.
