KATHUA, July 20: In continuation to take tough action against illegal mining within the district, Kathua police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua, RC Kotwal- today seized one vehicle (Dumper) indulged in illegal transportation of construction material in the jurisdiction area of Police Station, Lakhanpur.
Police said yesterday a team headed by SI, Sanjeet Singh, incharge Police Post(PP) Basantpur under the supervision of Dy SP, DAR Kathua, Sukhdev Singh seized one vehicle (Dumper) in the jurisdictional area of PS Lakhanpur near Basantpur which was involved in illegal extraction/transporting of construction material from the area. Thereafter the vehicle was seized which was immediately handed over to the officials of Geological and Mining department Kathua for further legal proceedings.
