Three peddlers arrested with heroin, intoxicant tablets

JAMMU, July 20: Miran Sahib and Gursai Police arrested three drug peddlers along with heroin and intoxicant tablets.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Miran Sahib led by SHO Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq and assisted by Incharge Border Police Post Kullian ASI Ranjeet Singh under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh and SP Headquarters Ramnish Gupta laid a naka at main chowk Kullian and intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration number JK14F-3627.
During checking, police team 5 grams heroin from the possession of the rider and arrested him.
The accused was identified as Amjid Khan, son of Alam Din of Sakanderpur Kothay Tehsil Bishnah District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 77/2022 under section 8/21/22/60 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Gursai laid a naka and intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK12C-3269.
During checking, police team recovered 9750 intoxicant tablets from the possession of two persons travelling in the car and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Mohd Ayub Khan, son of Mohd Bashir and Sohail Mehmood, son of Abdul Hameed of Pamrote Surankote District Poonch.
A case under FIR Number 87/2022 under section 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Gursai and investigation initiated.
