JAMMU, July 120: Channi Himmat Police seized 52 rolls of banned synthetic thread and arrested a shopkeeper.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Channi Himmat on specific information rounded up a shopkeeper who was selling banned synthetic thread rolls. During search, 52 rolls of banned synthetic thread were recovered from his possession.
The shopkeeper identified as Subash Chander, son of Girdhari Lal, a resident of Channi Baja District Jammu. The arrest was made in violation of DM order regarding ban on sale of plastic/synthetic threads.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Police Station Channi Himmat and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Inspector Deepak Katoch made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Syed Zaheer Abbas Jafari and SP South Mamta Sharma.
