Week-long summer camp for KU, CUK students begins

SRINAGAR, Sept 19:   Vice chancellor, Central University, Kashmir, Prof Abdul Wahid Qureshi today flagged off a week long summer camp to Bangus valley in North Kashmir, here this morning.
Around 50 students from Kashmir University (KU) and the Central University Kashmir (CUK) are participating in the camp, which is organised by Business School, KU, in collaboration with CUK and Directorate of Tourism Kashmir.
Registrar KU, Prof Zafar Ahmad Reshi, Registrar, CUK, Prof Mohammad Afzal Zargar, Head, Business School, KU Prof S Mufeed Ahmad were present besides other dignitaries.
Talking about the importance of the summer camp, Prof Mufeed said that such camps inculcate qualities of leadership, tolerance and sacrifice among the students, which is the need of the hour.
Giving details of the camp, Prof Mufeed said that during the week-long camp, the students  after passing through Kalaroose, Lolab, Chandigam, Drungyari, Nowgam after two days of travelling, would leave for actual base camp of Bungus valley for trekking to Bungus.
