JAMMU, Sept 19: State president, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Tulsi Dass Langeh, today conducted the tour of Samba Vidhan Sabha, where he addressed series of meetings at upper Mandhera, lower Mand-hera and Langtha-Badheri, and took stock of the grievances of the local populace.
The BSP State president was accompanied by Som Nath, ex-MLA and State general secretary, Rattan Kumar Bhagat, State treasurer, BD Thappa, coordinator, Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha and Kunj Lal, District president.
Meeting with prominent persons of various cross sections of the society, Langeh was apprised about the problems being faced by the local people, including issuance of BPL ration cards to undeserving candidates and non-availability of road connectivity between lower Mandhera and upper Mandhera villages.
The BSP leader found that village Mandhera, which has about 1000 population is still without a Government Primary School and the villagers, who were mostly depending on agriculture, have been rendered landless, as their fertile land was acquired by the SIDCO for establishment of industrial units.
Langeh urged the concerned higher-ups to look into their issues and redress their grievances by conducting a survey in the area.
