DC inaugurates langer for Amarnath Yatris at Mahajan Bhawan on 25th day

JAMMU, July 22: The langer for Amarnath pilgrims at Mahajan Bhawan (Shalamar Road, Jammu) continued on 25th day, today with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Jammu Avny Lavasa inaugurating the langer herself by serving food to the pilgrims.
A spokesperson of Central Mahajan Sabha, which is organizing the langer, informed that the daily number of pilgrims in the langer crossed the figure of 1100. He said all the pilgrims who came at Mahajan Bhawan were served with breakfast in the morning followed by Lunch and Prashad throughout the day till they got Yatra Cards from the Government Registering Agency established in the main hall of the Sabha and proceeded to Bhagwati Nagar (Base Camp).
He said for the langer, Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha have deputed a very strong team of dedicated members headed by Romesh Chander Gupta (president of the Sabha) assisted by Shiv Partap Gupta (senior vice president) and Sanjay Mahajan (general secretary).
“Romesh Chander Gupta (president of the Sabha), Arun Gupta (president CCI) and Sukhnandan Choudhary (Ex MLA) were also present when the langer was inaugurated in the morning by Dc Jammu,” the spokesperson said, adding, today’s langer was sponsored by Prabhu Dayal Mahajan and his family.
He said CP Gupta (vice president) and Mukesh Mahajan (press secretary) have been looking after protocol arrangements in the Campus while Balbir Gupta (secretary and Yash Paul Gupta (superintendent) are incharges of the Langer. Further, Surinder Gupta and Subash Gupta (both vice presidents) have been closely monitoring the daily activities from security point of view whereas Dr Mohan Lal Gupta (cashier) closely monitors the daily financial transactions.
The members of the team who performed the arduous duty at the Langer Counter include Vijay Gupta (vice president), Satish Gupta, Darshan Gupta, Romesh Chander, Suresh Gupta, Rajneesh Gupta, Rajan Gupta, Rajesh Gupta and Romesh Chander Gupta.
