Mayor starts development work in Sainik Colony

JAMMU, July 22: Jammu Municipal Corporation Mayor, Chander Mohan Gupta along with Councillor Gurmeet Kour Randhawa kick started the work of laying of cemented slab of Community Hall within the premises of Shiv Mandir in Sector-G Sainik Colony of Ward 69, here today.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor said that it was the long pending demands of the Mandir Committee as they were facing hardships especially during hot and rainy season to organise religious/ community functions and in order to fulfil their demands, local Councillor Madam Gurmeet has taken the initiative and started work with an estimated cost of Rs 50 lacs.
He also directed the concerned Engineering wing and contractor to complete the work within stipulated time frame by applying best quality and durable construction material, so that residents can take full benefit of this Community Hall in near future.
The Mandir Management Committee extended gratitude to the Mayor and local Councillor for fulfilling their much awaited demand.
Narinder Singh Jamwal (Councillor) Karan Singh Jamwal (President of Shiv Mandir Management Committee), Captain Bunty Singh, Captain Pyara Singh, Kulwant Jasrotia, Inderjeet Kour, Radha Kumari, Asha Devi and other prominent persons were present during the event.
