JAMMU, July 22: The Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC)/Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) protest entered 630th day at Jagti township, Nagrota near here, today .
Addressing the protesters, Shadi Lal Pandita, president JTC/SKF said that due to rising prices the relief holders are unable to make their both ends meet and they are living from hand to mouth.
He said that the JTC and SKF activists have been protesting for 629 days and are demanding enhancement of monthly cash relief of relief holders from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000 per family per month but the UT and Central Government is ignoring the relief holders and forcing the exiled community to hold sit-in protest.
The members demanded a new package of  20,000 jobs for Kashmiri Pandit migrant unemployed youth and one job each to be given those families who have no serving Government employee.
The protesters are also demanding compensation for property loss of 32 years, pending ex-gratia relief of gutted houses, compensation for over aged youth, removal of Illegal occupation of land properties and religious places in the Valley.
They also demanded establishing three townships in Anantnag, Srinagar and Baramulla to resettle Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley.
