19 bovines rescued

JAMMU, July 23: Jammu Police today foiled two bovine smuggling bids and rescued 19 bovine animals.
The bovines were rescued during checking at two different nakas established by Police Station Jhajjar Kotli (at Suketar) and Police Station Akhnoor (at Chowki Choura) in their respective jurisdictions. While 7 bovines were rescued by Jhajjar Kotli Police, 12 were rescued by police Station Akhnoor.
In this regard, a case under FIR number 185/2022 U/S 188 IPC,11 PCA ACT was registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and the accused smuggler identified as Khan Mohd son of Saraj Din, resident of Raipur Jagir (Bhad-Rode, Jammu), was arrested.
Akhnoor Police had also registered a case FIR number 212/2022 u/s 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act, 184 MV Actand started further investigation.
