POONCH, July 24 : A 22- year-old youth died mysteriously during a marriage ceremony at Kamsar village in Poonch district today.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Bashir, son of Late Mohd Akram, resident of village Baila in Tehsil Mandi.
As per the initial information, deceased received electric shock mysteriously, following injury on head during a marriage ceremony after which his body was taken to Raja Sukhdev Singh District Hospital Poonch on Saturday late night, but family is claiming that he has been murdered.
Station House Officer Poonch, Ranjit Rao confirmed the incident and said that after post-mortem in the morning, dead body was handed over to family for last rites.
Police have initiated inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC into the matter to see all aspects related to this mysterious death.
