2 more arrested in JU clash case

JAMMU, Sept 20: Police today arrested two more persons who were involved in murderous attack on a scholar inside a department in Jammu University campus on September 13 while hunt was on to nab three more absconding accused.
Police sources said that on the basis of specific information a police team from Ware House Police Post carried out raids in Rajouri town and arrested two accused, who were on run ever since the murderous attack on a scholar.
The police team deputed by Incharge Police Post Ware House SI Mohd Iqbal Chagatta arrested both the accused well before they were planning to shift their location in order to avoid arrest.
The arrested accused have been identified as Tazim Choudhary and Atta-Ullah Niazi. Police has launched hunt to nab the remaining three accused namely Rohit Bhatti, Talib Hussain and Manik Sharma.
A case FIR No.226/2013 under Section 307 RPC has been registered against all the accused.
Sources said that SP South Rajeshwar Singh and other senior police officers have been closely monitoring the investigation in the case.
