Talking to media persons after inaugurating new provincial level AAP office at Gandhinagar in Jammu today, Pathak who was flanked by former minister and senior party leader Hash Dev Singh, OP Khajuria and others said that AAP will strengthen its structure within next fortnight and in this connection, the party units right from Panchayat level to Block and above will be constituted.
Referring to the expansion of the party after Punjab elections and its activities in J&K, Pathak said about 75 training sessions for about 12780 party activists from J&K have been conducted so far. They are being trained about the ideology of the party and its activities not only in Delhi but other states as well. He said AAP has managed to enter Goa, Madhya Pradesh where its Mayor in one of the cities has been installed and also in Gujarat (Vadodara) where its councilors have won.
With a view to have its eyes on next Assembly elections in J&K, the party would strengthen its structure and also create units at all levels shortly. He dropped hint that party would gear up activities to contest coming elections. Regarding party manifesto, the party leader said it would also be prepared after discussion at various levels.
While referring to the situation in J&K, party In-charge for J&K said most of the people to whom he met claimed that Modi has ruined the J&K state. The people of J&K are looking towards Arvind Kejriwal as a big hope. The people are facing power and water crisis here and youth are not able to get jobs. Corruption has increased manifold and there is no one to listen to the grievances of the people.
He said Delhi Model of governance has been liked by people in Punjab and they ensured win of the party. Many Europian countries even have liked the way AAP Government is working in Delhi. Mohalla Clinic concept and transformation in Education system are the big achievements. These models were even liked by Singapore and they invited Delhi CM but unfortunately Modi Govt did not allow him to go and participate in a programme there.
AAP leader claimed that only Kejriwal is the threat to Modi Govt in the country. Two Delhi Ministers including Manish Sisodia have been trapped in false cases just to defame Kejriwal Govt by BJP. Even against Sityender Jain no formal charge sheet could be filed so far. He is the main who introduced Mohalla Clinics concept in Delhi. This is being done because Modi Govt is feared of the popularity of AAP Govt.
“In J&K, there is no opposition. Congress and PDP are no more oppositions, while NC people have stopped speaking against BJP. Only AAP can pose a great threat to this party in coming elections,” Pathak claimed.
Responding to a question on drug mafia and gangster warfare in Punjab, AAP leader said, who brought this to Punjab every one knows. AAP Government has now tightened noose around drug mafia and gangsters and in last 3-4 months, 80 gangsters were neutralized and drugs worth crores seized. In coming days things will improve in Punjab. In Delhi AAP Govt gave 12 lakhs jobs to the educated youth and in Punjab within three months 70,000 jobs have been provided to the youth. The party would work on the same lines if comes to power in J&K. A big change is going to happen in J&K shortly, Pathak maintained.
