JAMMU, Sept 20: Police today arrested a drug peddler and recovered 260 intoxicant capsules from his possession.
“On specific inputs, police party from Kanachack Police Station laid a naka near Hari Singh Gharat near Jhiri temple and apprehended a drug peddler, who has been identified as Ashok Kumar alias Rinku, son of Krishan Lal of Kalayanpur, Kanachak”, told SDPO Sandeep Mehta.
260 intoxicant capsules concealed in a pouch were recovered from his possession, he said.
A case under relevant Sections of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Kanachack Police Station and investigation started, SDPO informed.
