Rajasthan police seizes vehicle stolen from Kathua, arrests driver

KATHUA Sept 20: Rajasthan Police has arrested Gurmeet Singh of Abhor Haryana who was involved in theft of vehicle from Kathua district of Jammu and handed over him to Kathua Police.
According to police Joginder Singh who was driving a Bolero JK08 B 5603 broke a police Naka laid by Padampur Police Station in Sri Ganga Nagar District of Rajathan recently. The Police chased the vehicle and nabbed the driver at a distance.
On the inquiry the police found the vehicle was from J&K’s Kathua district and the driver had no papers with him. It arrested the driver and seized the vehicle. The Rajasthan police later informed the J&K Police and a team of Kathua police brought vehicle and driver back.
It may be recalled that the vehicle was parked in a parking in front of DC Office Kathua where from it was stolen on May 3 this year.
During this period five cases of vehicle thefts were also reported from Kathua.
The Police suspects the involvement of gang in the vehicle theft cases and the driver was put on sustained introgation to reveal the truth. The police also suspects a deep nexus in vehicle theft cases.
