JAMMU, Sept 20: Patnitop police today rescued six bovine animals and arrested a smuggler.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Patnitop police post laid a naka and intercepted a Tata mobile bearing registration number JK02BC-4986.
During search, police rescued 6 bovine animals and arrested driver of the vehicle, who has been identified as Mohammad Zahood, son of Lal Hussain of Belicharana.
A case under Section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered at Batote Police Station and investigation started.
Police party led by SI Mohammad Irfan made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Parbeet Parihar, DySP Headquarters and SP Ramban.
