JAMMU, Sept 20: One person was killed and 27 injured when a mini bus they were travelling in skidded off and rolled down on the road in Bari Brahmana area of Samba district.
“One person died on the spot and 27 got injured, 22 seriously when a mini bus they were travelling in this afternoon rolled down on the road in Patli Morh near Bari Brahmana area,” police here said.
Police said after a horse came suddenly in front of the vehicle on the road and in order to save the animal the driver lost control over the steering and the vehicle turned turtle.
They said that the mini bus was on way from village Gho- Manhasan to Thandi Khui on a religious pilgrimage.
The deceased has been identified as Janak Raj son of Dhanna Ram R/o Gho-Manhasan, Jammu. The 22 seriously injured have been shifted to GMC Jammu for treatment while five were discharged after giving first aid at Vijaypur Hospital. The Bari Brahmana Police has registered a case.
The injured were identified as Swarna Devi R/o Thandi Khui, Krishana Devi R/o Gho Manhasan, Manju Devi, Babli Devi, Parul, Joginder Devi, Amit, Chikandya Devi, Pushpa Devi, Rani Devi, Garo Devi, Kamlesh Devi, Anu Radha, Reva Devi, Nita Devi, Bua Datti, Satya Devi, Sando Devi, Parkasho Devi, Seema Devi, Kanta Devi, Meenu Devi etc. Police has registered the case in this connection for further investigation and the driver of the matador fleed from the spot and matador was seized by the police.
