JAMMU, July 29: A digital awareness programme was organised here today at GGM Science College by the NCC SW Unit in collaboration with Department of Computer Sciences under the supervision of College Principal, Dr. Ravinder Tickoo.
Motive behind organising the programme was to familiarize the students with digital platforms of payment gateways like UPI, BHIM, PayTM, GPay etc and other similar services that have contributed a lot to the ease of living.
Dr. (Capt.) Anjana Sharma, Associate NCC Officer initiated the proceedings and offered warm welcome to Rajdev Singh, Resource Person from SEBI.
Singh emphasised upon the detection and prevention of frauds like ATM fraud, file sharing and piracy, do’s and don’ts in common crimes and risks online, hacking etc.
The programme was attended by more than 60 students including NCC SW cadets from the College.
All the faculty members of the Department participated in the event and vote of thanks was given by Prof. Meena Gupta, Department of Electronics.
