Protest in Budhal as Naib Tehsildar’s post lying vacant

RAJOURI, July 29: The residents of remote Budhal town in district Rajouri today held strong protest against the J&K Revenue authorities as the post of Naib Tehsildar was lying vacant since long.
The locals of the area assembled in large number outside Budhal Niyabat and raised slogans against UT Administration. They showed resentment over the non-placement of Naib Tehsildar at Budhal Niyabat.
They said almost two weeks back DC Rajouri, Vikas Kundal held Block Diwas at Budhal town and assured the local residents that a permanent Naib Tehsildar would be transferred in a week. But till today no action was taken in this regard.
BJP Youth wing spokesperson and local prominent leader Manzoor Naik while addressing the media persons said that Budhal Niyabat is non- functional due to the vacant position of Naib Tehsildar owing to which the local populace of approximately eleven Panchayats and three Patwar Circles was suffering miserably.
Even for a small revenue document or for the attestation of an affidavit local poor and marginalised people are suppose to travel to Koteranka tehsil office by spending as they are left with no other option.
Shabir Aflatoon, Sarpanch Budhal urged that a permanent Naib Tehsildar should be posted to Budhal Niyabat at the earliest so that people’s grievances are resolved.
