Two drug peddlers arrested with heroin, cash, sharp edged weapons

JAMMU, July 29: Gandhi Nagar Police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered heroin, cash and sharp edged weapons from their possession.
As per police sources, on July 21 this year, three accused were arrested and a case under FIR Number 175/2022 under section 8/21/22/25/27a/29 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar.
During the course of investigation, the arrested persons were put to thorough questioning and during sustained questioning, they revealed the names of two more associates in the above case.
After this, a special police team of Police Station Gandhi Nagar led by SHO Inspector Pankaj Sharma and assisted by PSIs Sonu Choudhary and Basharat Hussain was constituted under the supervision of SDPO South Sachit Sharma.
The team did strenuous efforts and with the help of various inputs finally rounded up two suspects. On their disclosure, 30 grams heroin, Rs 2,73,300 cash and 5 sharp edged weapons were recovered.
The accused were identified as Sukhdev Singh, son of Shamsher Jung of Palli Tehsil Bari Brahmana District Samba and Rakesh Sharma, son of Paras Ram of Yogman Tehsil Jourian District Jammu.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
The whole operation was conducted under the supervision of SP South Mamta Sharma.
