JAMMU, July 29: The activist of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today held protest against JMC authorities at Pir Mitha Bazaar here today.
Led by senior party leaders, Dr Rajinder Thappa and Vikrant Sharma, the AAP activists including women workers assembled near Pir Mitha Chowk today and staged protest against the JMC authorities. They alleged that the road has been dug by the PHE authorities since long in the middle of the main road and a large pit has been left unattended on the road. It has become accident point.
They said Muharram procession will pass this road and moreover, after few days Janam Ashtami Shobha Yatra will also be taken out through this market, but the JMC authorities despite repeated requests, have turned deaf ear towards the request of the public. They alleged that even local Corporator was well aware of the issue. After brief protest, they dispersed.
