Rajouri, July 29: Rescuing ten animals from the vehicle, police in Rajouri foiled a bovine smuggling bid and truck used in the crime besides arrest of accused driver.
Police said Friday afternoon, a team of Police assisted by Incharge Police Post Chingus, PSI Sahil Choudhary during routine Checking/frisking at the Kallar Naka Intercepted a truck which was moving towards Poonch .
The vehicle with registration number JK02AB 8677 was found driven by Tofim Nissar son of Nissar Hussain resident of Saim Samith Rajouri and was found loaded with 10 bovine animals without requisite permission.
In this connection, a Case FIR No. 409/2022 , U/S 188 IPC ,11 PCA Act has been lodged in Police station Rajouri and further investigation is going on.
