Copper, nickel trade lower on reduced industrial offtake

NEW DELHI, Sept 21:  Prices of copper and nickel traded lower by Rs 2 per kg on the local non-ferrous metals market today due to reduced offtake by consuming industries.

Traders said that the reduced industrial offtake led to decline in copper and nickel prices.

In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and nickel (4×4) fell by Rs 2 each to Rs 433 and Rs 1,048-1049 per kg respectively.

The following are today’s metal rates per kg:

Zinc ingot 117-123, nickel plate (4×4) 1,048-1,049 gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 433, chadri deshi 285.

Lead ingot 154, lead imported 152, aluminium ingots 148, sheet cutting 149, aluminium wire scrap 151 and aluminium utensils scrap 148. (PTI)
