JAMMU, July 30: The rank lists for admission to various law programmes for the year 2022-23 offered by SASTRA Deemed University were released tonight along with allotment of Round-1 Counselling.
Setting the application deadline at 5 PM on July 30, 2022, SASTRA released the rank list at 9 PM on the same day. In law programmes, the rank list is released based on CLAT scores and +2 aggregate together for its admission process without conducting its own entrance exam.
V Navin Balaji Annamalai from Sri Sankara Senior Secondary School, Adayar (Chennai) secured 1st rank in the School of Law rank list for having scored 96.20% in +2 exams and CLAT score of 83.25.
Ritikaa H R from Harisri Vidhya Nidhi School, Trichur (Kerala) secured 2nd rank in the School of Law for having scored 97.80% in +2 exams and CLAT score of 75.25 while Shreya P from Vidhya Niketan Public School, Coimbatore secured 3rd rank for having scored 95.80% in +2 exams and getting CLAT score of 71.50.
The merit-based transparent online counselling for admissions will be held between 31st July and 29th August 2022 (based on vacancies). Students from various states like Tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Delhi, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Bihar, Rajasthan, Assam, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, etc. have applied for admission.
