Srinagar, Sept 21: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee Presi-dent, Professor Saif-ud-Din Soz today said that Agriculture Minister Ghulam Hassan Mir should be given chance to defend himself.
Soz was reacting to a question about the allegations against Mir of making efforts to topple Omar Abdullah led Government by taking money from the Army.
Soz said these are allegations against Mir and he should be given a chance to defend himself. “You must give importance to Ghulam Hassan Mir’s statement also. Let him prove that the allegations are wrong”, he added.
The Congress president said that former Army Chief General VK Singh, has been in the controversies even since he was in the service.
When asked about the remarks made by National Conference Additional Secr-etary Dr Mustafa Kamal against him, Soz said that Kamal’s statement has always been useless and ridiculous. “I am representing Kashmir in the Parliament and don’t believe in compromising their wishes and aspirations.” Soz added.
