UDHAMPUR, Sept 21: Udhampur Police today foiled another attempt of bovine smuggling and arrested two smugglers who were transporting three animals to Kashmir valley.
Conducting surprise checking on the National Highway near Manthal, a Police party from Police Post Tikri led by PP Incharge SI Nishant Gupta intercepted an auto load carrier bearing registration number JK14C/3293.
Police arrested two bovine smugglers namely Mirza Mohd of Chakher Tehsil Udhampur (Driver) and Mohd Rafiq of Chakher who were transporting two bovine animals to Kashmir valley.
All the bovine animals were rescued and vehicle was seized. In this connection, a case FIR number 157/2013 U/S 188/RPC 3 PCA Act was registered at Police Station Rehmbal.
