SRINAGAR, Aug 2: Fourty-one police personnel have been promoted to next rank.
As per official spokesman, a Departmental Promotion Committee meeting was convened under the chairmanship of the Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh at Police Headquarters here and after a thorough scrutiny of the service records, promotion in respect of 16 Assistant Sub Inspectors and 13 Head Constables of the Telecom Cadre of J&K Police to next rank has been ordered.
The DGP has congratulated the promoted officers and their families. He has expressed his hope that the promotion will serve as an inspiration for the officers to perform their duties with enhanced dedication and zeal.
Those who have been promoted as Sub Inspectors are Surinder Singh, Ghulam Nabi, Mohd Ramzan, Mohd Syed, Ali Mohd, Malik Abdul Haq, Tariq Ahmad, Mohd Maqbool, Rivaz Ahmad, Mushtaq Ahmad, Ram Saroop, Farooq Ahmad, Abdul Qayoom, Bashir Ahmed, Abdul Rashid and Zahoor Ahmad, while those who have been promoted as Assistant Sub Inspectors are Farida Bano, Rajeev Singh, Vijay Kumar, Gulshan Kumar, Sanjay Kumar, Showkat Qutub, Ashok Kumar, Bashir Ahmad, Akshay Kumar, Abrar Ahmad, Mohammad Mehmood, Raj Kapoor and Azad Hussain.
Meanwhile, another Departmental Promotion Committee constituted under the chairmanship of Dr SD Singh, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Security, J&K met today and cleared in-situ promotions to 12 security personnel of various subordinate Units of Security Wing which includes 3 HC and 9 SgCts.
While issuing the promotion order, Dr SD Singh greeted all the promoted officials and impressed upon them to work with dedication and devotion for the betterment/service of society in general and Police Department in particular.
The Departmental Promotion Committee comprised of RP Singh, Staff Officer, SHQ, Ashish Rathore, CPO, SHQ, J&K, SI (M) Verjinder Raina I/c Establishment, SHQ J&K Jammu and SgCt Anil Raina, Accounts Clerk, SHQ, J&K Jammu.
