JAMMU, Aug 2: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) has seized 11 kilograms of single use plastic and polythene.
As per official spokesman, on the directions of the Commissioner JMC, a team of Health Section, JMC along with Sanitation Officers, Assistant Sanitation Officers, Sanitary Inspectors and Sanitary Supervisors conducted intensive drive for checking the illegal use of single use plastic/polythene in all the three zones randomly.
During checking, the team seized 11 kilograms (approximately) single use plastic and polythene and imposed fine to the tune of Rs 18000 at Canal Road, Bhagwati Road, Sangrampur and Gangyal.
