JAMMU, Aug 3: Arnia and Bus Stand Police arrested two absconding rapists.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Arnia led by SHO Inspector Devinder Singh under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh and SP Headquarters Ramnish Gupta conducted raid and apprehended a rapist, who was evading his arrest from the past 2 months.
The accused was identified as Anuj Verma, son of Girdhari Lal, a resident of Chack Waziru Tehsil Bishnah District Jammu.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 51/2022 under sections 376, 420 and 109 IPC and 67 IT with Police Station Arnia.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Bus Stand led by SHO Inspector Vishal Shoor under the supervision of SDPO City Sharad Kalu also arrested an absconding rapist, who was identified as Ram Singh, son of Davinder Singh of Hoshiarpur, Mukearian Punjab.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 25/2022 under sections 376, 420 and 493 IPC with Police Station Bus Stand.
Further investigation into the cases is going on.
