JAMMU, Aug 3: Girdhari Lal Raina , former MLC and spokesperson BJP-JK UT has demanded expansion of secure and affordable housing for all those employees belonging to religious minority community who come to serve in Valley including employees recruited through Non- PM package, SC category and from other parts of the country.
He also demanded weeding out all those elements from the administration that are responsible for incessant delay in construction of transit accommodation for employees recruited under PM’s package.
Recalling construction of transit accommodation for employees recruited under the PM’s package was sanctioned in November 2015 by Narendra Modi led NDA Government with instant allocation of required funds, he lamented irritatingly slow progress on construction on ground displaying total disregard for very concept of alleviating sufferings of the affected community.
Revealing experience of his personal visit to Wandhama Ganderbal one of the sites where these units are being constructed on July 17, 2022, Ex MLC stressed that what he found and was revealed by the people present was that construction activity has been stopped altogether without hope for the work to restart in near future. So the deadline of December 2022 is going to be missed again, he added.
