JAMMU, Aug 4: Government of Jammu and Kashmir today accorded sanction to the constitution of a UT Level Steering Committee on Energy Transition.
According to the order, Chief Secretary of the UT will be the chairman of the Committee while Administrative Secretaries of Agriculture Production Department, Industries & Commerce Department, Housing & Urban Development Department, Public Works Department, Transport Department and Rural Development & Panchayati Raj Department will be its members.
Further, the Committee may co-opt any other member(s). Besides, Administrative Secretary, Power Development Department (PDD) will be the member secretary of the committee whereas Chief Electrical Inspector/SDA, PDD will be convener of the Committee.
