Employees Joint Action Forum discusses issues to chalk out strategy

JAMMU, Aug 4: An urgent meeting of J&K Government Employees Joint Action Forum Jammu was held here today under the chairmanship of Sushil Sudan, President JKMEF, to discuss the issues confronting employees and chalk out a joint strategy over the same.
The Forum discussed all the issues which are confronting to the employees including burning issues i.e regularization policy for daily wagers working in different departments in general and ongoing indefinite strike of PHE daily wagers in particular. The Forum also discussed the issue of transfer policy for all Jammu based Reserved Category employees working in Kashmir Division.
After threadbare discussions, the Forum appealed Lt Governor of JKUT to personally intervene in the matter and issue directions to concerned authorities for negotiation with the striking employees and making regularization policy for the daily wagers.
The Forum also decided to chalk out strategy and announce next course of action over the issues in its next meeting on August 16.
The meeting was attended by senior trade Union leaders and representatives of different departments including Suresh Sharma(FCE), Ganesh Khajuria (JKTF), Nazir Ahmed Bhat (JKSTEA), S.Gurmeet Singh (JKADCSA), S Gurmeet Singh (PDD), Ashish Sharma (PWD R&B), Umer Jan Batt (SW&ICDS), Shashi Pal Singh (USTA), BishanVerma (GMCJ), K D Singh (SKAUST), Zameer Ul Haq (SKAUST), Rajesh Jamwal (PHE), Mohd Mushtaq Chowdhary (PHE), Varun Dubey (SKAUST-J), Satpal Singh (PDD), P D Singh (EDU) and others.
