Pak again opens firing on LoC

JAMMU, Sept 22: Pakistan Army have been resorting to heavy firing in Hamirpur, Mendhar and Bhimber Gali sectors of Poonch and Rajouri districts since last night in fresh violation of ceasefire agreements.
Firing in Mendhar and Bhimber Gali sectors was going on when the reports last came in while it had stopped in Hamirpur sector in wee hours of this morning after night long exchanges between the troops of India and Pakistan.
Official sources said after a lull of two days, Pakistan Army last night opened firing in Hamirpur sector of Poonch district and Bhimber Gali of Rajouri district at 9.55 pm last night. The firing was confined to small arms and automatic weapons.
Indian side retaliated, sources said, adding the firing continued till 2 am.
No casualties or damage was reported on Indian side in the firing.
Again at 3 pm today, Pakistan Army started firing at Mendhar and Bhimber Gali sector. Intensity of the firing was heavy for about one hour but later it came down to small arms firing. Exchange of firing ceased at 6 pm today..
The firing since last evening was confined to small arms, sources said, adding no mortar shells have been used in today’s firing.
